Things to keep in mind before your arrival!
To our dear guests traveling from abroad, we are thrilled to have you join us for our wedding in Bahrain. Here are a few things to keep in mind before you arrive:
Bahrain is an archipelago of 33 islands situated in the Arabian Gulf. Known for its rich history, modern infrastructure, and warm hospitality, Bahrain offers a unique blend of old-world charm and contemporary allure. The capital city, Manama, is a bustling hub of culture, commerce, and entertainment.
Weather and What to Pack?: Bahrain has a desert climate, characterized by hot summers and mild winters. For your visit during the winters, a light jacket or sweater should suffice for the cooler evenings.
Currency: The local currency is the Bahraini Dinar (BHD). It’s useful to have some cash for smaller purchases, though credit cards are widely accepted.
Cultural Etiquette: Bahrain is liberal Muslim country and therefore there are generally no restrictions in dressing or customs that need to be considered before arrival! The only time this should be considered is if you plan to visit cultural or religious sites during your stay. In this case, it is respectful to dress modestly.
